March 2024 Meeting

It was a very busy “Welcome Back” meeting for our first get-together in 2024!
After our wonderful speaker presentation, Ron Long – photography from Five South African Deserts, we got down to business!
An important consideration was the meeting venue, and after some discussion and voting, we will continue at our present location.
Then there was the voting in of the new constitution.  Whew!   A huge thanks to Ron K. for tackling the revision!
Membership cards are in the works… be sure to pay your club fee asap to stay on the Eardrop newsletter list!
The competition plants for this year will be given out next month.

Then finally… we got down to our regular club business… starting off with TEA TIME!

We were happy to see lots of plants on display for our “Show Table”.
Naturally, at this time of year, the “Blooms” were not as plentiful.

The winner of the Show Table was a lovely escargot-type begonia (Melanie G.).  Fuschia Eruption was the charming, tiny Fuschia winner (Ron K.).  The sole pelargonium bloom was quite beautiful and deserved winning anyway! (Elaine D.)  Ron also brought in a colorful Coleus Solar Flare, (Solenostemon scutellariodes) that had been mentioned in the last Eardrop.

We were delighted to have some new members join up at the meeting and hope this trend continues!       

Draws, sales, books, collections, and lore were part of the action as well!
